Events
Events for patrons of all ages happen year long at Peninsula Community Library.
Book clubs and story hours as well as varied programming appeal to patrons and guests of all ages! Pageturners, a book club for adults, meets the third Thursday of the month at 7 p.m. Story Stew, our preschool story hour, happens on the first and third Thursdays of the month at 11 a.m. Little Amigos, a story hour conducted entirely in Spanish, is offered on the third Saturday of the month at 10:00 a.m.
Our fiber arts club, called Threads, meets on the first and third Mondays of the month at 7 p.m. Come share conversation and handiwork about knitting, spinning, dyeing and everything fiber-related. Newcomers are welcome! Bring a project you are working on.
Chapter Chicks, our Mother Daughter Book Club for girls in the 3rd, 4th and 5th grades meets every other month to share discussion, food and a related craft.
Guys Read, Too, our book club for boys, also meets every other month, alternating with Chapter Chicks, but meeting after school at 4:15 p.m. Hands on activities, crafts and lots of snacks keep this group coming back to prove that boys DO love to read!
